Montessori Casa Assistant Teacher

About Us:
MontessoriWorks, located in Mississauga, provides experiential learning for children (Ages 2.5 years – 6 years old) to become independent thinkers in a nurturing and stimulating environment that cultivates an intrinsic learning joy.
Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Pay: $18.00-$22.50 per hour
Additional pay: Bonus pays
Benefits: Extended health care after probationary period
Duties:
• Prepare snacks/lunch
• Prepare Art Material and support the classroom lead teacher
• Wipe of shelves and material every week. Check materials to see that they are clean
• Assist children with dressing and undressing for outdoor play
• Supervise playground, lunchroom etc. as schedule
• Be familiar and follow CCEYA and Peel Public Health guideline
• Assist during circle
• Assist with record keeping, material preparation, circle etc as requested by the lead teacher
• Assist with changing pull-ups and diaper for children and toilet training
• Follow the job duties requirement in the classroom
• Assist children with the crafts
• More time flexibility
• Enjoy working with kids
• Good team player
• Adapt to fast-paced environment
Experience:
• Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
• First Aid Certification (required)
• Early Childhood Education Diploma or Montessori Diploma (required)
• Food Handlers ( Preferred)
