MEP Engineer/ FOREMAN
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of MEP technicians, electricians, plumbers, and HVAC specialists.
Assign tasks to team members based on their expertise and ensure they are performed safely and efficiently.
Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior staff.
Ensure all workers adhere to safety protocols and follow worksite regulations.
Supervise the installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems as per design specifications.
Ensure that all MEP systems are installed with precision, meeting industry standards and project requirements.
Oversee the installation of energy-efficient systems and equipment.
Coordinate with the project manager, engineers, and other trades to schedule and execute work tasks.
Communicate daily with the site manager to provide updates on progress and resolve any issues.
Collaborate with other foremen to resolve any system clashes between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations.
Enforce safety standards and ensure the team follows all required safety practices and regulations, especially related to working at heights and handling heavy equipment.
Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to address potential hazards and improve safety awareness on-site.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire safety regulations, and other legal requirements specific to high-rise buildings.
Conduct regular inspections of ongoing installations to ensure work quality and adherence to drawings, specifications, and codes.
Identify and address any discrepancies or defects in the installation of MEP systems.
Perform final inspections and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure their proper functioning before handover.
Ensure that required materials and equipment are available on-site when needed and that proper storage practices are followed.
Manage the use of tools and equipment, ensuring they are used safely and properly maintained.
Report any material shortages or equipment malfunctions to the procurement team.
Prepare and manage daily work schedules for MEP team members, ensuring that tasks are completed on time.
Track and report the progress of MEP installations, highlighting any delays or challenges.
Ensure the project adheres to the established timeline, adjusting schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
Identify and address any technical issues or challenges with MEP installations.
Collaborate with the engineering team to find solutions to complex installation problems and system integration issues.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work completed, materials used, and manpower deployed.
Document and report any changes or issues encountered during the project.
Prepare and submit weekly or monthly progress reports to the project manager.
Ensure that all MEP systems are fully functional, tested, and commissioned before the final handover to the client.
Provide necessary documentation for system warranties and maintenance schedules.
Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety) and their integration in high-rise buildings.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team while ensuring work quality and safety standards.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve challenges on-site.
Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) for MEP systems.
Knowledge of sustainable building practices and energy-efficient MEP systems.
Familiarity with high-rise construction techniques and challenges, including logistics and vertical transportation.
Ability to work in a construction site environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions and potential hazards.
Physical capability to conduct site inspections, handle tools and materials, and lift heavy objects when necessary.
