Mechanical Technician
Work Dynamics
What this job involves:
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist the engineers in test stand installation commissioning
Assist the mechanical engineer with test stand and work bench set ups based on test plan
Conduct pre-checkup on mechanical systems based on checklist for test preparation
Able to make basic electrical and electronics connections
Assemble components to build a test stand sub-systems and systems
Read drawings to understand the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
Cutting, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures
Locate and repair issues (e.g. leaks) with water and gas supply lines
Maintain gas and liquid heating systems (Compressors, Driers, Chillers etc.)
Troubleshoot failures and breakdowns and perform repairs
Document processes and maintain equipment service records
Maintain safety, clean work environment and compliance as per policies and procedures
Mandatory Skills required to performing the job:
Experience in installation and commissioning of gas (Nitrogen, Helium, Argon etc.) Compressed dry air (CDA) systems
Experience in using tools accessories for installation activities
Experience with basic electrical and electronics connections
Awareness of the gas fittings like Swagelok and Parker make
Knowledge on types of fittings (e.g. BSPT, NPT, BSPP, Swagelok etc.) required for plumbing systems
Sound like you? To apply you need to be:
Experience: Min. 4 years of experience in handling test stands in manufacturing industry
Educational qualification: Diploma/ ITI in Mechanical or equivalent
Desirable Skills:
Basic mechanical knowledge which includes test stand maintenance, utilizing basic hand tools and tightening fittings
Ability to monitors all critical parameters for trends and abnormalities on test stands, corrects abnormal conditions when found reports them
