Based at Penrith, NSW, the Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing glass inspection machines, use SAP for data collection and to analyse maintenance information, mechanical installation during projects and shutdowns and provide general fixed-plant maintenance as needed ensuring the least amount of downtime possible. You will also be working on the repair of glass forming machine parts and glass forming moulds.

Responsibilities:

The position will see you maintaining and repairing our equipment and machinery, both within the workshop and production areas.
You will learn to maintain and repair our IS forming machine (Glass Forming Machine) and forming equipment.
You will undertake preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, overseeing stock, and ultimately adhering to our maintenance plans. Our maintenance management system will need to be managed and updated as records change.

From time to time there may be a requirement for additional afterhours work to address breakdowns and issues which may impact production.

What You Will Bring:

We are looking for a Certificate III qualified Mechanical Fitter with a machining discipline.
Experience within a manufacturing environment.
You will be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a “get the job done” approach every day.
Most importantly, you will be a positive and resilient team player, who is capable of handling a challenging and dynamic work environment.
You’ll be passionate about making a difference by playing your part in creating brand-building products for our clients.
Strong verbal communication skills are vital in this role, as is having sound computer skills and experience using Word.
