The Opportunity

Mining Wear Parts, a Mineral Resources subsidiary, seeks a skilled and motivated Mechanical Draftsperson to join our engineering team in Henderson who is proficient in INVENTOR. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings through both engineering and reverse engineering processes. Your work will involve the use of advanced software tools and measuring equipment, both in the office and on-site, to support the design and development of a wide range of industrial components and systems.

Create accurate 2D and 3D drawings using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Polyworks.
Participate in reverse engineering by operating scanners and manual measuring tools to capture component geometry.
Conduct on-site and workshop-based engineering tasks as required.
Perform quality control checks on parts and components to ensure compliance with specifications.
Follow established drafting protocols and systems to maintain consistency and precision.
Contribute to the design and development of mechanical parts, equipment, chutes, liners, Manganese components, and more – depending on your skill set.
What you’ll bring

Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD drafting software.
Experience in or willingness to learn reverse engineering techniques, including the use of scanner equipment.
Prior experience in a drafting or engineering environment – experience in the mining, quarrying, or recycling industries is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
