Job Purpose:

The Workshop Technician/Mechanic will be responsible for supports maintenance/workshop operations by 1) providing basic technical tasks and duties that are required for construction, operation, maintenance and repair of measurement equipment so that measurements of the required quality can be made in time in the field, 2) working within clearly defined standard operating procedures. Works with close supervision. Requires relevant technical education at senior secondary vocational education level and limited prior relevant training or work experience. Job is performed in the field and/or workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
• Repairing of equipment at sites and workshop.
• Fault reports of equipment under maintenance.
• Checking of equipment as per maintenance checklists
• Listing out critical spares for smooth running of equipment at site.
• Immediately attending equipment breakdowns at site to minimize down time.

Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices Responsible for using appropriate PPE’s Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his workplace. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
