Materials Composites Engineer
Overview:
Join Casper Mobility as we build Canada’s first aerial vehicle ecosystem. We’re looking for a Materials Composites Engineer to lead the design, testing, and integration of lightweight, high-performance, and sustainable materials for our flying vehicles and energy infrastructure. This is a critical role in helping us reduce weight, increase durability, and optimize structural components for airworthiness and long-range performance.
Responsibilities:
Research and test composite and advanced aerospace-grade materials
Recommend lightweight and durable materials for vehicle shells, mounts, and structures
Run performance tests (stress, fatigue, temperature, crash) across multiple use scenarios
Partner with structural and design teams on frame integration
Document testing and validation processes to meet Transport Canada and global aviation standards
Contribute to energy housing, battery casing, and thermal containment architecture
Support sustainability and repairability strategies
Qualifications:
Degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
Experience in composite engineering (carbon fiber, polymer resins, etc.)
Familiarity with SolidWorks, ANSYS, or equivalent simulation tools
Knowledge of aerospace certification standards
Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $+5,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
