About Us:
The Rangeley Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting the vibrant community and businesses of the Rangeley area. We are looking for an organized and creative Marketing and Events Coordinator to join our team part-time and help us enhance our marketing efforts and support our community events.
Position Overview:
As the Marketing and Events Coordinator, you will support our marketing initiatives and assist with organizing events to promote our Chamber and its members. This part-time role is perfect for someone seeking flexible work arrangements while making a meaningful impact in our community. The position requires creativity, strong organizational skills, and enthusiasm for community engagement. We would like to grow this role over the next several years, and could eventually transform it into a full-time position with an expanded scope.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Digital Presence (60% of time):
Manage the Chamber's social media platforms with a regular posting schedule
Create engaging content showcasing regional highlights, events, and member businesses
Oversee website updates and content maintenance
Support promotional campaigns for events and member initiatives
Coordinate and execute basic graphic design needs for digital marketing materials
Events Support (20% of time):
Assist with event planning and coordination
Support event logistics and day-of execution as needed
Help coordinate promotional efforts for Chamber events
Oversee or assist with the design and production of print materials, including visitor guides, event calendars, and other promotional materials
Member Relations Collaboration (20% of time):
Foster engagement and collaboration opportunities with member businesses
Encourage member participation in Chamber events and marketing initiatives
Facilitate cross-promotional opportunities between members
Assist with member communications and outreach
Support general administrative tasks as needed
Collaborate with team members on various projects
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or related field
Experience in marketing, social media management, or event coordination
Strong familiarity with social media platforms and basic digital marketing
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong written communication skills
Basic graphic design skills and experience with print design preferred
Experience with digital design software a plus
Flexible schedule with occasional evening/weekend availability for events
Familiarity with the Rangeley Lakes Region is a plus
