Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the company's assets by conducting daily checks, performing preventive maintenance activities, and resolving issues related to electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
• Conduct daily health checks of production lines to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as greasing, cleaning filters, and daily verifications.
• Identify and resolve machine error messages promptly.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
• Report and resolve equipment failures in a timely manner.
• Ensure that annual maintenance contract terms are followed by contractors within the agreed time frame.
• Supervise and oversee the work of outsourced contractors on-site.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and maintenance tools, ensuring availability when needed.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
• Utilize the company's computerized maintenance management system efficiently.
Qualifications
• Diploma degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical parts, including pumps, seals, filters, belts, and bearings.
• Basic knowledge of electrical components, such as relays, contactors, breakers, and overloads.
• Familiarity with electronic switches and sensors.
• Understanding of pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with utilities, including air compressors, diesel generators, boilers, chillers, and air conditioners.
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and address equipment issues effectively.
• Good communication skills in English to interact with team members and report maintenance status
