We’re seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Inventory Controller to join our Maintenance team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by managing parts, tools, and inventory crucial to equipment upkeep and repairs.

Job Overview:
As the Maintenance Inventory Controller, you will oversee our inventory system, maintain accurate records through our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and ensure all materials are organized, available, and tracked efficiently. You’ll work closely with our maintenance team, operations, and procurement to keep everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Room Warehouse Management
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-labeled inventory room.

Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and condition.

Track and manage inventory levels using maintenance management software.

Issue parts and document all inventory movements accurately.

Perform routine inventory audits to maintain accuracy.

Store items safely and in accessible locations.

Minimize inventory loss through control procedures and proper labeling.

Procurement Coordination
Work with the Plant Manager/Planner to source quality materials at competitive prices.

Coordinate inventory requests via internal online forms.

Communicate with suppliers and procurement on inventory needs and order tracking.

Software Reporting
Maintain up-to-date inventory data in the CMMS.

Assist maintenance staff with software-related tasks (e.g., submitting work orders).

Generate reports to support maintenance schedules and budgeting.

Monitor parts usage and availability.

General Support
Follow safety procedures while handling parts and tools.

Support inventory reconciliation and reporting.

Assist with special projects or ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications:
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

2–3 years in inventory control, warehouse, or a similar role.

Experience in a manufacturing or recycling facility is a plus.

Familiarity with CMMS and Microsoft Office is an asset.

Skills:

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Capable of working independently.

Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
