Local CDL Driver

Job Title: CDL Delivery Driver

Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles, utilizing safe and effective loading and handling procedures.
Review paperwork for completeness and accuracy, ensuring correct orders with the proper number of boxes, addresses, and supporting documentation. Complete time cards and enter trip data into the on-board computer.
Comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
Deliver and unload products using equipment such as tractor trailers, ramps, lift gates, pallet jacks, load bars, and other devices that assist delivery.
Operate vehicles safely within UNFI guidelines, minimizing accidents, traffic violations, and public complaints.
Maintain vehicles in a well-maintained, safe, and secure condition, reporting any defects promptly.
Pick up supplies and backhaul from vendors while completing related paperwork.
Address and resolve customer problems as necessary.
Ensure customer orders arrive in quality condition.
Communicate professionally with customers and vendors.
Requirements:
At least one year of experience as a CDL A professional driver.
A valid medical card issued by the Federal Motor Carrier Administration and a valid state-specific Commercial Driver's License.
Ability to pass a written exam and road test.
Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and mandates, as well as UNFI's safety standards.
Must be at least 21 years old.
System implementation experience is preferred.
