Oversee a division / region of Lending Specialists and potentially Lending Specialist Supervisors and Construction Loan Administrators, leading a team responsible for supporting multiple phases of the lending lifecycle for Business Banking and Middle Market customers. The team will drive the coordination and closing of loan transactions and serve as a main point of contact for external customers post closing. The Lending Specialist Manager will drive operational excellence, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic goals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage a department / region responsible for loan transaction closings, ensuring end-to-end accuracy, customer satisfaction, and all regulatory requirements are met in a risk-controlled environment.
Spearhead and proactively define, implement, and enforce operational metrics KPIs to ensure service standards are met and communicated timely to all internal stakeholders.
Lead and be at the forefront of all operational and middle office initiatives, identifying any inefficiencies and providing scalable long-term solutions.
Oversee and proactively manage the creation and continual refinement of the operating model
- including processes, controls, standards, and training surrounding the end-to-end lifecycle of a loan transaction.
Build and foster strong business relationships with key stakeholders across the firm, functioning a key representative for Loans Middle Office whilst maintaining feedback loops and identifying operational trends.
Represent Loans Middle Office in various business and risk settings, assisting with audit cycles, and providing operational read-outs when applicable.
Required Skills:
Excellent, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership and time management and organizational skills in a demanding fast paced environment.
Proven ability to influence and partner with senior management to drive issues to resolution.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a desire to work collaboratively across the organization.
Proficient PC skills using Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.
Required Experience:
HS Diploma or GED. Five or more years of experience in leading a regional or specialized loan middle office team.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
