Litigation Assistant
**Litigation Assistant**:
• *Trademarkia is looking for a litigation assistant to support all trademark dispute processes,**
• *both before the USPTO trademark trial and appeals board, pre-litigation, alternate dispute**
• *resolution, and federal litigation. The key requirement for this position is a strong attention**
• *to detail, legal writing skills, and time management/docketing organization skills. You will**
• *need to use Clio to docket all dates, and keep attorneys organized.**
• *Roles Responsibilities**:
- Reviewing and managing files and docket for deadlines, understand docket deadlines and action needed on each file; prepare shell prosecution documents.
- Drafting pleadings, motions and CMC statements and file them with the TTAB
- Conducting factual investigation using magazines and trade publications
- Researching procedural matters, case law, and unfair competition matters
- Preparing and file legal documents for cases involving intellectual property
- Acting as a point of contact for the clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
- Assisting with client invoice review, edits, and finalization.
- Maintaining and generate docket reports for attorneys
- Creating status reports for multiple cases that are in process
- Performing administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc)
- Organizing exhibits, evidence and production documents and maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes required.
- Drafting interrogatories and other discovery requests and responses
- Aiding attorneys in deposition preparation and providing assistance with case settlements
- Gathering relevant information from a variety of sources
- Other tasks as assigned include billing portions of your time.
• *Skills Requirements**:
- Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal
- Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc
- Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
- Proficiency with G-Suite and other software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, timekeeping software, Adobe Acrobat, etc.,
- Familiarity with USPTO procedures, rules and requirements; knowledge of U.S. and PCT patent rules and procedures.
• *Excellent client service skills**:
- Possess effective written and oral communication skills
- Display a strong client service orientation with a positive attitude
- Ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions
- Respectful, reliable and dependable team player; ability to work productively with firm personnel at all levels and with mínimal supervision.
- Must be flexible with work hours and overtime as needed.
• *Minimum of one/two years of experience working in a law firm or in-house legal environment **in a legal assistant role or similar.**
• *Salary**: ₹200,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
