Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and guidelines provided by the head chef.
Ensure all food handling and preparation meets safety and sanitation standards.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report shortages to management.
Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices throughout all stages of food preparation.
Skills
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
