Line Cook/Prep Cook
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portioning food accurately.
Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards to maintain quality and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills in food service and safety practices.
Requirements
Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or similar setting.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen environment.
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and equipment used in food preparation is preferred.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking methods and recipes as needed.
