iKas International have an exciting new contract opportunity for an experienced Leveraged Loans Legal Counsel to join a global, well known Asset Management/Investment Bank, based in London (Office and Home Working model) to work within the Global Credit Finance business team.
The role will focus mainly on UK/European business but will also entail global coverage supporting their US business. The role will be part of a small team supporting Global Credit Finance on a global basis. The other members of that team are based in Boston. The role will work very closely with the business team and will be hybrid office/home (with a majority of time spent in the London offices (Canary Wharf).
Responsibilities:
• 3-5+ years of professional experience in a recognised law firm and/or in-house legal department
• Experience of US law is a bonus but not required.
• Strong background in leveraged loans.
• Experience of fund finance and to a lesser extent, CLOs would be beneficial but is not required.
• UK and EU regulatory experience is also expected (eg RRP, LIBOR) insofar as is required to support a credit finance business (ie the person need not be a regulatory expert but should expect to engage in regulatory analysis and implementation relating to the business supported).
• The role is a hands-on role working with the business, risk, compliance, other internal lawyers as well as - at times - external counsel.
