We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant for a temp-to-perm opportunity with our law firm.

This role offers the potential for a permanent position based on performance, providing comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys and paralegals.

Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Manage case files from inception through resolution, including organizing, indexing, and maintaining legal documents and correspondence.
Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and subpoenas in state and federal courts.
Calendar Management: Maintain attorney calendars, schedule court dates, hearings, and client meetings, and monitor deadlines to ensure timely filings and responses.
Client and Court Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Facilitate communications and provide case status updates.
Administrative Support: Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports; handle incoming calls and emails; and assist with billing and expense reports.
Trial Preparation: Assist with trial binders, exhibits, and deposition materials; coordinate witness schedules and court filings.
Electronic Filing: Handle e-filing processes for state and federal courts using platforms such as PACER and CM/ECF.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of litigation support experience in a law firm or legal department.
Bachelor's degree preferred; paralegal certificate is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems (iManage, NetDocs).
Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and excellent time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; professional and courteous demeanor.
Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
