VelNonArt Transformative Health is a contracted provider for Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, Office of Diversion and Reentry (ODR) to provide LEAD – an intensive case management program. LEAD stands for Let Everyone Advance with Dignity. LEAD is centered at the intersection of public health, public safety and racial justice. LEAD builds a non-punitive, community-based system of response and care to better address root causes of frequent contact with law enforcement that is related to substance use, unmet mental health needs, and/or extreme poverty. A a Los Angeles County LEAD provider, we prioritize referrals for individuals who: Have multiple contacts with the criminal legal system and are at high risk for recidivism; Are typically excluded or underserved by existing programs (including people who are transgender, people experiencing homelessness, immigrants, people living with HIV); Are disproportionally impacted by racial disparities in policing, arrests, and sentencing.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals as they navigate complex social systems.

Location:

Los Angeles County, primarily San Fernando Valley with possible monthly visits to the Lancaster sits.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality case management and support services to program Participants. This role ensures that staff receive consistent clinical supervision, coaching, and support to meet the needs of People Who Use Drugs (PWUD), Persons Experiencing Homelessness (PEH), and people with justice involvement. The Clinical Supervisor plays a key leadership role in maintaining clinical standards, ensuring compliance, and fostering staff development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

__________Staff Supervision Oversight:

Establish and implement a structured system of clinical supervision for all services staff.
Ensure supervision ratios comply with contractual requirements (e.g., one Supervisory Staff per 120 slots unless otherwise approved by the County).
Conduct regular one-on-one supervision meetings with Case Managers to review Participant progress, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
Oversee staff involvement in the LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion) program, Participant Services documentation, and interactions with clients.
___________Participant-Focused Responsibilities:

Provide in-person assessments, triage, crisis intervention, and problem-solving services for Participants with complex behavioral health, medical, and/or substance use challenges.
Conduct joint in-person Participant visits with Case Managers at least once per quarter to:
Assess the Case Manager's skills in participant engagement.
Model clinical interventions.
Identify areas for development to be addressed during supervision.
Clinical Duties:

Conduct routine chart reviews and prepare for case conferences in collaboration with County partners.
Provide on-call clinical guidance to Case Managers during emergency situations.
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with program and County standards.
Minimum Qualifications:

Clinical Licensure (Required): Must maintain a current and valid license in the State of California in one of the following disciplines:
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
OR

Hold a Master's degree in a qualifying field and be license-eligible or license-waived.
· Driver’s License: Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

Experience:

A minimum of three (3) years working with PWUD and PEH populations.
A minimum of two (2) years assessing, diagnosing, and providing psychotherapy to clients/individuals.
A minimum of two (2) years navigating LA County systems/software (HMIS/CHAMP)
At least one (1) year of experience providing intensive case management services.
At least one (1) year of working with individuals returning from incarceration and/or justice involvement.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual in Spanish.
Experience with LEAD/ODR or similar diversion programs.
Familiarity with trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and housing-first models.
LA County systems/software (HMIS/CHAMP)
Work Conditions:

Frequent travel for community-based meetings with Case Managers and Participants.
Available for on-call consultation and occasional after-hours support.
Office and field-based work with exposure to various environments.
Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience. Includes competitive benefits package.
