About your team
The Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, investment, compliance, finance, legal, marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation. The Central team comprises systems development and support specialists that provide support to departments such as Legal and Compliance, Risk, Audit, HR Services, Finance, Corporate Services across various geographic locations.
About your role
The Lead Business Analyst plays a key role in delivering technology solutions within Fidelity. This position is for an experienced Business Analyst to work in Corporate Enablers Data Governance Team. The role will be responsible for liaising with the Senior Business Stakeholders from General Counsel (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Audit etc) and others to identify CDEs, perform data profiling, define and capture data quality rule requirements, liaise with technical staff, and assist in User testing where necessary.
About you
Key Responsibilities:
• Build the foundations for new capabilities whilst leveraging and enhancing current DQ framework to implement source data governance and quality across corporate enabler teams.
• Design, implement and track key DQI metrics as part of organization’s Data Governance tech enablement.
• Coordinate and collect information, compile analysis reports and track implementation of recommendations to completion
• Accountable for overall engagement with both business and delivery teams ensuring the Data Quality requirements are well captured and understood.
• Execute daily review analysis, conduct client meetings, and manage inbound questions from various business teams
• Develop strategies to prioritize and remediate data quality issues that align with business needs or regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and management teams in communicating the program status in-line with the larger organization data strategy.
• Manage a large team of augmented resources from various vendor partners.
• Prior experience of managing and handling large scale programs with single accountability.
• Ability to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders and management.
• Assist in raising JIRA tickets and solving issues faced by end-users
• Collaborating with database developers to improve data collection and storage processes.
• Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends.
• Reporting data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs.
• Documenting processes and maintaining data records.
• Adhering to best practices in data analysis and collection.
Core Skills:
• At least 7 years of experience role in data management roles; preferably focused on data quality management and data governance design and implementation
• Experience on Dataware house and Data Lake environment
• Knowledge of Data Modelling concept and dimensional models
• Capable of querying databases using SQL and working with large and complex data sets
• Experience over Agile methodology for day-to-day quality operations controls
• Ability to take complex data issues and summarise a high level problem statement and possible solutions to Senor Stakeholders in relevant forums.
• Knowledge/exp. of Banking and Capital Markets is an added advantage for this position
