Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Framers and labourers to join our construction team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for constructing frameworks for buildings and other structures, ensuring that all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. The Framer will work closely with other construction professionals to interpret blueprints and schematics, operate heavy equipment, and utilize various hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
Construct frameworks for walls, floors, and roofs using wood or metal materials.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently as needed during the framing process.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
Perform drywall installation and concrete finishing tasks as required.
Ensure all framing work meets building codes and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to restore damaged structures as necessary.
Lift heavy materials and components safely during the construction process.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety.
Qualifications
Proven experience in framing or a related construction field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of drywall installation, concrete finishing, and siding techniques.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Proficient in operating heavy equipment relevant to construction tasks.
Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in framing projects.
Capable of performing heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the workday.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
