We are seeking a highly skilled Chef to join our Food Services team at Alfred Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for patients, ensuring that all menu items meet the required nutritional standards. This role involves working collaboratively with other team members to maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals for patients in accordance with established menus and nutritional guidelines.
Work closely with other team members to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance patient satisfaction and nutritional value.
Manage food inventory and accurately record food preparation activities.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence within the department.
Essential Requirements:

A strong background in food services as a chef, preferably in a hospital setting.
Understanding of modified texture and special dietary needs.
Proven expertise in food preparation, presentation, and safety.
Ability to work collaboratively and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Commercial cookery qualification (Certificate III or IV).
