ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Technical Assistant to join our team at Sydney Olympic Park. The Technical Assistant will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Bubble World experience, ensuring a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for all visitors. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This person will serve as the point of contact on the production side of the Bubble World experience, supporting our Technical Manager, Project Manager and Producer who are responsible for the experience. This would be a casual freelance role from August 2025 to February 2026. Expected hours will be 16 hours a week, with options during school holidays, public holidays for extended hours. Availability to work on weekends will be required. This role requires flexibility, creativity, attention to detail. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in live event production and a background in various technical aspects . This will be a shared role.
Important: This position requires having a business entity/registered organization/ being a self-employed sole trader.

You will:

In Collaboration with the Fever team, you will manage several aspects of onsite production (e.g., daily installation maintenance, venue presentation, onsite execution, opening and closing procedures)
Communicate and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure execution of event deliverables
Report weekly to Fever Originals Project Managers and Operations Managers about the status of each event; including both the pre and post-event findings and feedback
Responsible for cleanliness oversight for the venue and actioning periodic checks.
Action event fixes and general maintenance promptly and liaise with the Production team and suppliers when escalations are necessary.
Assist in storage management within the building, including assisting with offloading and loading goods.
Running and providing support on-site for any marketing, PR, corporate, or VIP activities and experiences that take place in the venue.
Regular reporting on activity onsite (including Incident Reports).
Developing knowledge share of building-specific items, including fixes, procedures, operations, and best practices.
Liaise with technical support teams for maintenance and repairs, and troubleshooting.
Attendance at Management meetings where required.
Liaising with the cleaning company to ensure the on site facilities are clean and well kept, as well as stocking facilities yourself where required.
Preferred QualificationsYou have a track record of successfully produced events with strong data analysis, oral and written communication skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and pride yourself on your flexible, detailed, analytical mindset.The role requires a mix of events coordination and operational experience. Candidates need to be passionate about the entertainment/events industry. You will have to be comfortable delivering results in an ambiguous environment, being exceptionally detail-oriented while looking around corners, and thinking bigger about how we create a compelling experience.

1-2 + years of experience in the event production industry
Fluency in English
Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle (free onsite parking is provided)
Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time and pull together multiple aspects of an event in an organized and efficient way
Understanding of technical production requirements
Huge appetite for learning and the ability to pick up new skills quickly
Have strong communication skills and a proven track record of building positive working relationships
Able to communicate with suppliers, clients and guests
Job Types: Freelance, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $30.00 – $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
