Journeyman Carpenters - 21-7 - Camp Maintenance and Installation
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various carpentry tasks and a strong understanding of construction principles. This role involves working on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and collaborating with other trades to achieve project goals.
Responsibilities
Construct, install, repair and maintain modular buildings
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
Rigging and placement of modular buildings
Install formwork, place and finish concrete
Construct walls, stairs, roofs, decks and ramps
Install building envelope and exterior finishes
Install interior systems and finishes including drywall, paint, suspended ceilings, doors, flooring and millwork
Complete remediation and clean up as needed
Conduct construction estimating to determine material needs and project timelines.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Be safety minded with the ability to comply with company, client and regulatory requirements
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete projects efficiently.
Collaborate with other team members, trades people, and clients
Maintain a positive attitude and work as a component of a team, contribute to a positive work environment.
Experience
Red seal ticket or equivalent in Carpentry.
Proficiency in various aspects of construction, adapt to new tasks.
Fall protection, first aid, AWP, RTFL, confined space tickets an asset.
Experience in modular building and installation an asset.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for this role.
Requirements
Ability to pass a pre employment drug and alcohol test
Local to BC or AB
Physically fit and abled to work 11.5 hour days 7 days per week
