Job Summary

We seek a highly motivated and skilled Lawyer to join our global legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing legal aspects of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, as well as knowledge of corporate laws.

This role is based in India and involves leading the global IP domain from a legal perspective, reporting directly to the General Counsel.
ResponsibilitiesIP Management Documentation
• Develop IP management strategies, including brand protection, IP portfolio management, and governance, in collaboration with cross-functional teams across jurisdictions.
• Manage the intellectual property portfolio of the organization by identifying new opportunities for expansion and renewal of existing uses of intellectual property.
• Review IPR documentation and applications; provide IP-related training to junior members and cross-functional teams in the organization.
IP Litigation Disputes
• Administer IP cases.
• Work with external law firms on prosecution.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses of ongoing and upcoming IP litigation and filing.
• Manage and track all upcoming action dates.
• Handle matters related to infringement of intellectual property and litigation.
Stakeholder Management
• Manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead the IP team in the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project management, contractual dispute resolution, and training.
• Work with domestic and international law firms for IP-related work in India and other jurisdictions.
RequirementsEssential
• Masters or bachelor's degree in law or equivalent; specialization in IPR.
• 12-15 years of experience in IPR, preferably in a law firm catering to international clients or an in-house team as part of the IP team.
Desired
• Experience in managing IP portfolios and knowledge of international IP treaties.
• Experience in RD, automotive, or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong understanding of Indian IPR laws and exposure to international treaties on IP.
