Who we are:

Ready to join the ultimate decision-making dream team? Hop aboard the Rocketship!

At Finder, we’re all about helping people find better deals. Whether it’s to save money, make money, or snag sweet rewards, we’re here to make sure people are getting the best possible deal. But that’s not all – we’re also on a mission to inject some excitement into the daily grind!

With offices in Sydney, Toronto, New York, London, and Wroclaw, we've built a dynamic community of over 290 curious minds. But we're not your typical corporate clan. Diverse thinkers united by our core purpose to make money easy, we have a shared passion for turning the norm on its head.

If you're itching to shake things up, develop your expertise, and be part of a crew that values creativity, drive, and a good dose of quirkiness, then you might just be the missing piece to our puzzle. So why wait? Join us and let's navigate this wild world of decisions together!

Role Overview:

You’re an editor with a passion for helping Australians make better financial decisions. In this role, you’ll lead the editorial strategy for Finder’s Insurance content across a few key niches which may include health, car, home, travel, life and pet insurance. You’ll shape written articles that are insightful, accessible and SEO-optimised, while bringing a video-first mindset to everything you do.

You have a strong background in creating best-in-class insurance content and mentoring writers to produce content that is accurate, useful and engaging. You know how to simplify complex topics without compromising on depth or rigour, and you're experienced in spotting news angles, commercial opportunities and industry trends.

While this is primarily a written editorial role, you also understand the power of video and how it can enhance storytelling and connect with new audiences. You’re comfortable working on-camera, developing scripts and partnering with content creators to turn editorial ideas into rich multimedia formats. You’ll also represent Finder as a media spokesperson, whether it’s in press, on podcasts or in video, using your expertise to build trust with consumers and elevate our brand.

To be eligible for this position, you must be based in Sydney.

Responsibilities:

Content production for Finder’s insurance verticals, focused on execution and performance across content pillars including news, evergreen, videos and reviews.
Commission, write and edit high-performing insurance content that matches user intent and beats the competition in search.
Apply a video-first lens to editorial strategy by developing scripts, pitching content ideas for rich media formats and collaborating with our content team on production.
Be a public-facing representative for Finder, acting as a subject matter expert in media appearances, interviews and video explainers.
Stay across breaking news, regulatory changes, online conversations and consumer trends to ensure our coverage is timely and relevant.
Own the insurance news agenda by identifying daily and weekly opportunities that align with user needs and our brand voice.
Support SEO optimisation efforts including keyword research, content audits and performance tracking.
Uphold high editorial standards, ensuring everything we publish is accurate, clear and valuable to readers.
Leverage subject matter expertise to support Finder’s product experiences including improving the comparison experience and the insurance awards program, ensuring our methodology, product analysis and category insights are accurate, credible and aligned with market trends.
Work cross-functionally with SEO, PR, product and social teams to amplify our content and align it with commercial goals.
Monitor competitor content and industry developments to identify gaps, new formats and content innovation opportunities.
Essential Requirements:

Deep subject matter expertise in the insurance industry, ideally with published bylines in the Australian market
Proven editorial experience with a strong grasp of content strategy, SEO and digital publishing
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to turn complex topics into clear, compelling and actionable content
Experience in scripting and presenting video content, with an understanding of how to optimise content across platforms
Comfortable representing a brand in the media with excellent verbal communication skills and an ability to speak confidently on-camera or in interviews
A data-driven approach to content with experience using performance metrics to guide strategy
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory considerations in the insurance space and how to communicate them in a user-first way
A degree in journalism, communications, media or equivalent industry experience
Traits We’re Looking For:

High editorial standards - You hold your work to a high bar and expect the same from others
Audience-first mindset - You think about what users need, not just what we want to say
Video fluency - You see video not as a bolt-on but as an integral part of modern content
Collaborative communicator - You’re open, thoughtful and constructive when working with others
Confident spokesperson - You’re a natural presenter who can represent Finder in media and public channels
Driven by impact - You care about results and always look for ways to improve what we do
Perks/Benefits:

5 days of additional 'Life Leave' each year to use for life's big moments
Free daily lunch in-office
Generous gender-neutral parental leave (up to 16 weeks in Australia)
This is a unique opportunity to lead and evolve Finder’s insurance content while bringing a video-first mindset to one of our most important verticals. If you're a sharp editor with a love for storytelling in any format and want to help millions of Australians make smarter choices, we’d love to hearfrom you.
