We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paint Tradesperson to join our team in an exciting opportunity.
About the Role:
This position requires a professional with expertise in spray painting industrial machinery, including mining equipment, insurance claims, and fleet refinishing.
Main Responsibilities:
Spray paint industrial machinery
Preparation, sanding, and cleaning of vehicles or equipment for painting
Colour matching and paint mixing
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in painting industrial machinery
Qualifications in industrial spray painting
Excellent reliability and punctuality
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Panel beating experience preferred but not essential
Detailed attention and consistent accurate workmanship
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and tools must be owned
Comfortable working at heights and knowledgeable about surface preparation and finishes
Ability to understand and complete tasks to specifications
Select paints, varnishes, and stains for various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers
Familiarity with Wet Film Thickness Gauges and ability to achieve specified dry film thickness
Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces
Erect scaffolding and ladders
Clean equipment and work areas regularly
