Steelworks NZ Ltd is a family-owned structural steel business based in Tauriko, Tauranga specialising in projects from commercial industrial to earthquake strengthening and residential projects across the Bay of Plenty. We have one experienced Industrial Spray-painter vacancy available to join our fabrication workshop. This is a full-time positions working a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week, with wage rates are between $30-40 per hour (experience dependent with a minimum of two years).
Location: Tauranga, New Zealand
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Full-time, 40+ hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
Application of coatings using various techniques, including brush roller, airless sprayer, and conventional spray.
Painting to specification, including measuring and verifying DFT (Dry Film Thickness) and ensuring coatings meet required standards.
Working in structural steel industrial environments, with occasional on-site work.
Prepare surfaces for coatings, painting, or further finishing as required.
Inspect and assess the quality of finished surfaces.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications Requirements:
Experience in industrial spray-painting (essential) 2 years minimum.
Strong understanding of painting specifications and ability to use tools like a DFT gauge.
Knowledge of various painting techniques and application methods.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and work instructions.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow safety protocols.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
