Overview
Casper Mobility is preparing to launch Canada’s first personal aerial vehicle—and safety is non-negotiable. We’re hiring an Industrial Safety Certification Lead to own our early-stage safety strategy, lab and flight test procedures, and regulatory compliance roadmap. You’ll be the safety backbone of Casper’s transition from prototype to airworthy aircraft.
This role combines hands-on safety operations with strategic regulatory planning. You’ll work closely with engineering, simulation, battery systems, and the advisory board to establish and maintain Casper’s flightworthiness standards.

What You’ll Do
Design and enforce safety protocols for labs, battery handling, and flight system testing
Lead compliance initiatives with Transport Canada, FAA, and other certifying bodies
Oversee certification processes for airframe, systems, cockpit controls, and energy components
Develop safety case documentation, hazard logs, and failure analysis reports
Guide crew and facility training for safe testing, egress procedures, and emergency response
Support the regulatory interface during early testing, piloted and uncrewed demonstrations

What You Bring
5–10 years in safety engineering, aviation regulation, or industrial risk management
Deep familiarity with airworthiness standards, eVTOL or UAV frameworks, and ISO 45001/+001
Experience creating safety cases, FMEA, and compliance documentation
Proven track record working with government regulators or flight certification programs
Bonus: background in aerospace, defense, or advanced mobility startups
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
