Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and repair on industrial machinery and equipment (trucks, excavators, dozers, front end loaders, trommel, pumps, hydraulic systems, screens, piping systems, valves and various other types of process equipment).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Adjusting equipment and repair or replacement of defective parts.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of equipment. Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine service on a range of heavy and process equipment.
- Install, align, and adjust machinery components.
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed.
- Complete daily vehicle/equipment inspections.
- Analyze equipment performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
- Operate in a safe manner and lead by example in all areas of safety.
Requirements:
- Commute to Nanticoke, ON job site, with reliable transportation.
- Certification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright or Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic.
- Proven work experience as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to analyze and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to do physical labour.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
