The Industrial Mechanic will be integral members of the Maintenance Team, with responsibilities tailored to meet the demands of the Production Schedule. The role will encompass: - Diagnosing and repairing machinery issues, disassembling equipment to access and repair defective parts, and reassembling machinery with necessary adjustments for optimal operation. - Removing, installing, and modifying machinery or equipment as needed. - Utilizing blueprints, drawings, manuals, or other specifications to execute jobs correctly. - Operating and repairing plant support machinery, including boilers, water softeners, compressors, filters, HVAC pumps, etc. - Coordinating major repairs in collaboration with contractors and other trades when necessary. - Troubleshooting and resolving basic electrical problems safely. - Performing welding, soldering, brazing, and using shop machines. - Ensuring all equipment is operated safely. - Engaging in the training and orientation of new hires and contractors. - Working independently to solve problems. - Contributing to the Continuous Improvement Program.
