Imaging Services Technician

We are looking for a highly skilled Imaging Services Technician to join our team at Kindred Hospital - Chicago (North Campus). As a key member of our imaging services department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams using advanced imaging equipment.
About the Role:
Under general supervision, perform high-quality diagnostic CT exams utilizing Siemens Somatom Emotion 6 slice and GE equipment.
Verify patient identity and review medical records to ensure exam appropriateness.
Interview patients to obtain medical history and assess risk factors.
Explain procedures to patients, including side effects, risks, benefits, and follow-up instructions.
Set up equipment and acquire images according to script guidelines.
Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols, and communicate data to radiologists.
Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as necessary.
Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
Participate in quality improvement activities within radiology practice, including reject-repeat analysis and patient satisfaction initiatives.
Deliver imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
Requirements:
Must have Radiology CT Tech experience with familiarity of Siemens Somatom Emotion 6 slice and portable x-ray machine Mobile Dart and GE.
Must have 2 years recent Radiology CT experience in a hospital setting.
