Job Overview:
• We are offering an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated nurse with an advanced clinical background in IR Imaging Nursing. This role encompasses aspects of education, research, and management, and is firmly grounded in direct care provision and clinical practice. As an IR Imaging Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will bring clinical expertise and management/operational skills to our team. You will lead on clinical expertise, education/training, and facilitate and implement changes to improve clinical standards.
• Candidate Requirements:
• · Registered Nurse (RN) with a degree in nursing and relevant postgraduate qualifications (e.g., Radiology Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Teaching Certificate).
• · Proven experience in Radiology/ Imaging Nursing, currently working at Band 6 or above as an IR Imaging Nurse, with a minimum of 3-4 years of IR nursing experience.
• · A strong understanding and working knowledge of IR and Imaging Nursing, with skills in planning, organisation, pathways, and problem-solving.
• · The ability to work autonomously, lead, and collaborate with multi-professional teams, providing specialist nursing support, education, healthcare liaison, and high-quality care across the Hammersmith, St Mary’s, and Charing Cross sites. You will mentor junior staff within the services to facilitate and improve clinical standards.
• · Experience in leading and conducting audits, with the ability to implement changes.
• · Highly motivated, with drive, determination, and a willingness to adapt, implement change, and embrace new concepts.
• · Support innovation in nursing care and patient pathways across allocated areas, including the development and review of protocols. You will work closely with the Senior Nursing team and others to ensure that all patients are treated with compassion, dignity, and respect, placing value on the diversity of our patient groups.

• This is a full-time position, currently 37.5 hours per week, plus rotational on-call duties. It is a substantive post.
• The department is currently operational from Monday to Friday, and you will be required to participate in on-call duties.
