About the position
As part of the global HR team, the HR Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the Magna IT community. This role is pivotal in driving HR programs, including learning and development, benefits administration, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with corporate regional HR to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and receive seamless support throughout their employment journey. The HR Coordinator will embody and promote Magna's vision and values, acting as a champion of the Open-Door process, which encourages open communication and transparency within the organization. In this role, the HR Coordinator will administer benefits programs for both Canadian and US employees, which includes managing tuition reimbursement, COBRA, life and disability insurance (both short and long term), employee assistance programs, and wellness initiatives. They will also oversee paid vacation and holiday programs, as well as leaves of absence. The HR Coordinator will assist in recruiting efforts, helping to define the opportunities needed to hire and retain a talented workforce. This includes supporting the collection and coordination of immigration documentation and administration where applicable, as well as facilitating preboarding and onboarding activities such as background checks and new hire paperwork. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will prepare employee separation notices and conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and insights. They will also assist with various projects and the organization of special events, while coaching and guiding employees on conduct, the open-door process, and adherence to the Magna Charter. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and engaging role within the HR team.
Responsibilities
• Be a champion and example of Magna's Open-Door process, ensuring Magna's vision/values and the Magna's Employee Charter are upheld

Requirements
• 3-5 years' experience in a human resource capacity
,
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or Human Resources related program
,
• Previous experience in a Magna group or division preferred

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
