Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated hospital sitter to provide exceptional support for children and adults in a hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare and possess a variety of skills that enable them to support the developmental needs of children while ensuring their safety and well-being. This role requires a proactive approach to engaging with children, managing daily activities, and maintaining a clean and organized space.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children in a positive manner, fostering their social, emotional, and physical development.
Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
Manage behavior through positive reinforcement and conflict management techniques.
Provide transportation for children as needed, ensuring safe driving practices.
Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children's care including cleaning play areas and organizing toys.
Communicate effectively with Provider and Hospital Staff regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
Shifts are 12-hours long x 3 weekly. 36 hours is compensated as 40 hrs by our organization.
Requirements

Previous experience in childcare or as a nanny is preferred; experience in assisted living or caregiving is a plus.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and EMR systems is beneficial.
Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs, including autism or dementia care.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with both children and parents.
