Health Care Aide

Ohana Care Health Services is looking for Health Care Aides with a current health care aide certificate, and a passion for providing seniors with outstanding care. The most important part of our work is to make our clients feel they're cared for, and to build a trusting relationship.

We offer competitive wages and a minimum 4 hour shift schedule.

We offer a range of home care services provided in the home, at assisted living facilities, and nursing homes around Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Vancouver island and the surrounding areas, 24- hours a day.

We are looking for caregivers to add to our team in the surrounding areas around Vancouver Island to support our clients.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 1 years' experience working with seniors.
Valid Criminal Record Check.
Proof of Covid Vaccination
Valid BC Drivers License and vehicle would be considered an asset (pay incentive provided)
Active registration with BC Care Aide Community Health Worker considered an asset.
Job Description:

Work within your HCA scope within an interdisciplinary health care professional team
Assist clients within home-care settings
Assist patients to take their medications.
Assist with meals if at home, and portering residents to dining area at scheduled mealtimes as necessary in a facility setting.
Assist with transfers, ambulation, and exercises
Practice within your HCA scope; utilizing professional experience and judgement when providing care to residents.
Detailed and concise communication with Ohana management
