Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Head Chef specializing in Modern Indian Cuisine to lead our kitchen and elevate our culinary offerings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of traditional Indian flavors and techniques, combined with the creativity to reinvent and present them in a contemporary style. This role requires leadership, innovation, and a passion for delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and execute a dynamic, progressive menu that fuses traditional Indian flavors with modern techniques and global influences.
• Supervise and lead the kitchen team to ensure high performance, consistency, and creativity in food preparation and presentation.
• Maintain excellent standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality across all kitchen operations.
• Train and develop kitchen staff, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Collaborate with management on menu engineering, seasonal specials, and signature dishes.
• Control food costs through efficient inventory, portioning, and waste management.
• Stay up-to-date with global culinary trends and apply relevant innovations to the Indian cuisine space.
• Conduct regular tasting and quality checks to ensure excellence in every dish.
• Oversee kitchen budgeting, procurement, and vendor relations.

Requirements:
• 8+ years of culinary experience, with at least 3 years as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
• Expertise in regional Indian cuisine with a strong flair for modern plating and fusion techniques.
• Demonstrated creativity and innovation in dish development.
• Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment, hygiene regulations, and food safety protocols.
• Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred.
• Experience in a high-end restaurant, boutique hotel, or luxury catering brand is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of modern cooking techniques (e.g., sous vide, smoke infusion, molecular elements).
• Experience in designing tasting menus, chef’s tables, and curated dining events.
• Ability to create a balance between authenticity and modern appeal.
• Eye for aesthetics in plating and presentation.
