What will I be doing?
This varied and busy role will involve painting and or varnishing guest rooms, function rooms, offices, corridors, partitions and equipment for special displays and other construction work. It would also include repairing and hanging wallpaper when required, mixing and tinting paints to obtain required colours. As a painter you would also maintain all equipment and keep all varnished and painted furniture in a near new condition. Specifically you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Painting and or varnishing guest rooms, function rooms, offices, corridors, partitions and equipment for special displays and other construction work
Repairing and hanging wallpaper when required
Mixing and tinting paints to obtain required colours
Maintaining all painting equipment and keeping all varnished and painted furniture in a near new condition
Carry out basic repairs, filling holes, cracks, sanding and prepping
Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergency calls
Conduct regular inspection tours of the hotel to ensure all operating equipment is working correctly
Work closely with the Engineering Team on any projects or schedules
Follow all Health Safety rules within the Department and the hotel
Demonstrate exceptional customer service when engaging with Guests
Perform any other tasks as requested by the Chief Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel
What are we looking for?
In your new role, you will be working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

Previous painting preferable in Hospitality field.
