Job description
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Work setting: Various locations. Construction site. Manufacturing and industrial plant. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed. Measure, mark and cut glass. Clean and maintain equipment. Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products. Equipment and machinery experience: Forklift. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Experience: Experience an asset. Support for newcomers and refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Does not require Canadian work experience.
