Merit Tutors is seeking to recruit qualified school tutors to join our great network of teachers with exceptional experience in their teaching subject.
We are located in East London and have been providing professional support and interactive teaching to students of various abilities since 2004; by delivering small group sessions to target academic gaps and develop skills like confidence and self-determination to create a positive engagement with learning. This has been further aided with our regular assessments, feedback support and progress reports. We are proud to share our history of outstanding examination results with a 100% pass rate for GCSEs, +5% for A-Levels and 84% of SATS results above average.
Duties/responsibilities:
· Deliver interactive and tailored sessions with personalised learning resources to target specific gaps in knowledge, mapped to the current national curriculum
· Plan and prepare lesson for one-to-one or small group sessions
· Facilitate and create an excelling environment to help students develop greater confidence, passion and self-determination
· Completing regular assessment of varying levels, providing verbal and written feedback and progress reports
Tutor requirement:
• A degree in Education or relevant subject area.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
Schedule:
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
Experience:
• Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
