Position Overview: The Franchise Business Manager (FBM) - West will play a crucial role in driving the success of our franchise operations in Western Canada. This position involves multi-unit responsibilities, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with franchisees, implementing strategic plans to achieve brand targets, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, guest experience, and brand culture are met.
Key Responsibilities:1. Franchise Management:
2. • Develop and nurture strong relationships with franchisees across the western region to support their operational success and alignment with brand objectives.
Conduct regular visits to franchise locations to provide support, guidance, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with franchisees to identify and address operational challenges, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
3. Strategic Planning Execution:
4. • Work with franchisees to develop and implement actionable plans that drive achievement of brand targets, including Cost of Goods Sold (COG), food safety, and guest experience metrics.
Analyze performance data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and recommend strategies for expansion and optimization.
5. Brand Culture Standards:
6. • Ensure franchisees adhere to the company’s brand standards and operational guidelines.
Promote and instill the company’s brand culture and values across all franchise locations.
Lead initiatives to enhance the guest experience and drive customer satisfaction.
Monitor local store marketing programs.
7. Food Safety Quality Assurance:
8. • Monitor compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
Implement and oversee training programs for franchisees and their staff to maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
Address and resolve any food safety or quality issues in collaboration with franchisees.
Ensure restaurants are following the standard process of ordering the items.
9. Reporting Communication:
10. • Provide regular reports on franchise performance, including sales, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction metrics.
Communicate effectively with senior management to update on regional performance and strategic initiatives.
11. Training Development:
12. • Support franchisees in recruiting, training, and developing their teams to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional service and uphold brand standards.
Organize and lead training sessions, workshops, and seminars as needed.
Documentation of all the guidelines provided to franchises to ensure it is standard across the network.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in a managerial role within the restaurant or hospitality industry, with a strong background in multi-unit management and franchise operations.
Demonstrated success in business development, strategic planning, and relationship management.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, quality assurance practices, and customer service excellence.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel frequently nationwide.
Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Valid driver's license and driving record within provincial guidelines.
