About the role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef Leader to join us as Food Services Manager to lead the service for our Village, Care Suites and superb Café at our Ōtau Ridge Village in Clevedon, South Auckland.

This position is responsible for the profitable management of the cafe and dining operation and will ensure a welcoming and professional customer experience. You will have the opportunity to make your mark and influence the dining experience and continue to build upon our reputation for food quality and high hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

Taking responsibility for management and achieving of kitchen and café revenue and costs targets
Engaging with residents to create a partnership approach to food service offerings to make them attractive to residents and their guests.
Ensuring the physical café, dining environment and front of house operation is delivered to a high standard.
Create a culture of self-leadership, creativity, training, and continuous improvement.
Meeting all statutory and audit compliance requirements
Managing appropriate supplier relationships and purchasing to ensure best practice.
Preparing attractive and profitable menus for special events
Responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of self and others within the workplace
About you

You are a Chef with three plus years in a food and beverage hospitality management role, with sound technical cooking skills, cost control and stock management. You will be a natural leader and able to build a culture of service 2nd to none. You have strong IT skills to enable you to effectively navigate the digital side of the role. Above all you are keen to make every day better for our residents and keep them coming back for more!
