We are currently searching for a Finance Receiving Clerk to join our Finance Team for a one year term contract.
Job responsiblities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide support in the Finance department in a variety of different capacities throughout the contract, covering areas including purchasing/receiving, accounts payable, and general cashier.
Reconcile cash deposits, prepare daily cash overage or shortage reports and post all daily deposits.
Maintains accurate records for all purchasing/receiving transactions including requisitions, POs etc.
Oversees the hotel’s procurement system, including monthly reconciliation and administration.
Receives deliveries of hotel goods, monitoring quality to ensure brand standards and assists with delivering items to hotel departments.
Receive packages for building residents and coordinate with concierge for pick up.Obtain competitive bids and quotes for products and services as required.
Maintain petty cash accounts and log all outgoing disbursements.
Monitor and reconcile all vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts.
Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments.
Respond to vendor enquires on outstanding invoices, reconciling payable/receivable reports, tracking payments.
Match purchase orders to vendor invoices packing slips, post invoices and prepare cheques for vendors.
Preparation of a variety of monthly reports and general administration, as required
Ensure a continuous emphasis and focus to improve service and quality standards for the Finance Department
Ensure compliance to all hotel policies and actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy and humility
Maintains positive communication with all departments in the hotel, interacting with colleagues as internal customers and stays well informed of hotel VIP’s activities, promotions and events.
Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required
EDUCATION SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Possess strong analytical and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
Knowledge and competency in accounting related procedures, MS Office software and technology
General knowledge of procurement software, Opera Property Management Systems is an asset
Previous experience in the role of Night Audit, Accounts Payable and Purchasing and/or Receiving is an asset
Flexibility with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Qualifications
• Degree level.
• Relevant experience in FB and supervising a team.
• Fluency in the national language, English, and a third language would be a plus.
• At least 1 year spent as Supervisor or similar role.
