Finance Specialist - Budgets
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Specialist, within the Finance Procurement Division in a large automotive institution.
This opportunity is on a contractual basis until 31st December 2025 (with potential for extension or being made permanent)
The Finance and Procurement Division is responsible for providing the business with corporate support with respect to all finance and Procurement activities in order to enable the organisation to execute its strategy and achieve its objectives.
This role is based in Port Melbourne with flexible work arrangements on offer.
How you’ll make an impact
Implement agreed Fixed Costs processes and procedures consistent with set policies in order to achieve Fixed Costs objectives.
Assist in the development and continuous improvement of processes and procedures for Fixed Costs to support the strategy of the Fixed Costs Inventory by providing operational business support to the team and broader business.
Assist in the preparation of financial data to enable accurate and timely budgeting, forecasting, financial controls and reporting of actual achieved fixed costs spend versus targets in line with all regulations, policies and SOX requirements.
Act as the key Fixed Costs contact for stakeholders across the business in relation to GA, labour fixed costs and Aftersales operational profitability support. Resolve any queries and issues, and escalate matters to minimise risk.
Maintain reporting systems in order to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting and forecasting activities. Assist in the gathering, summary, analysis and reporting of information. Prepare and distribute reports, technical information and presentations in order to inform sound decision making

Degree or Diploma qualification in Accountancy or related discipline.
2+ years’ accumulative experience.
Experience in finance and profitability forecasting with SAP knowledge (essential).
Strong understanding of SOX audit requirements including control risk analysis.
Strong understanding of the business and its commercial drivers.
