About Polite Society:Polite Society is a contemporary fashion label known for its minimal yet bold aesthetic, high-quality craftsmanship, and thoughtful design details. We are looking for an Assistant Designer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of our collections.Key Responsibilities:- Assist in design development, from ideation to execution.- Conduct fabric research and sourcing, ensuring alignment with design and production needs.- Work on pattern making and sampling, collaborating with pattern masters and tailors to perfect garment fits.- Prepare detailed tech packs with accurate specifications for production.- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to ensure timely sampling and production.- Maintain an organized archive of designs, fabrics, and trims.- Assist in fittings and provide design inputs for modifications.Requirements:- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.- 2-4 years of experience in fashion design, with hands-on experience in fabric sourcing, pattern making, and sampling.- Strong knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and finishing techniques.- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel.- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.What We Offer:- A dynamic, creative workspace.- Opportunity to work closely with the founder and design team.- Hands-on experience in end-to-end garment development.
