Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to build, restore, and install various structures and fixtures. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Build frameworks, including door frames, window frames, and staircases.
Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged components.
Install siding, roofing, and other exterior elements to enhance building aesthetics and functionality.
Fabricate custom pieces as needed for specific projects.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate execution of designs.
Perform heavy lifting as required during construction tasks.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Experience
Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation processes.
Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus but not mandatory.
Ability to read and understand technical documents such as schematics and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or moving.
