Executive Lead - Indigenous Justice

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Mentorship: You will lead and mentor a team of lawyers and support staff, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent legal services.
Strategic Planning: You will work closely with the CEO and Board to develop and implement strategic plans to improve the quality of our legal services and ensure compliance with regulatory laws and funding agreements.
Clinical Practice: You will provide expert advice on complex legal matters, representing ALRM in court and at coronial inquests as required.
Training and Development: You will provide training and development opportunities to lawyers and non-legal staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Admission as a legal practitioner in South Australia and holder of an unrestricted category A South Australian Practising Certificate.
Experience: Extensive experience in legal practice, including experience in criminal law, civil law, and family law. Proven ability to manage a litigation practice and knowledge of governance of boards.
Skills: Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to negotiate and consult with stakeholders, including government funders and other relevant parties.
