ESL Instructor
Job Description
We are currently looking for an ESL Instructor who is TESL Certified, passionate about designing communicative lesson plans, facilitating student-centred, and striving to help students achieve their goals.
Requirements
Teaching according to a pre-set ESL curriculum
Adding supplemental exercises and activities according to learners’ needs
Stay up-to-date on best teaching practices
Communicating with staff and counsellors regarding student concerns
Marking tests, presentations and assignments on time
Being prepared to teach right at the start of class each day (making photocopies, getting supplies prior to class, organizing and planning lessons, etc.)
Enforcing school policies and being punctual
Maintaining accurate records regarding grades and attendance
Assigning homework (online and paper-based)
Provide students with regular constructive feedback
Correct the student’s mistakes with English in a positive manner
Qualifications
Proven experience in teaching ESL in Canada
Experience teaching online, in-person and/or hybrid
TESL certified (Ontario or Canada)
Bachelor's Degree (any major)
Native-like written and verbal communication skills
Basic technology and office software proficiency
Energy and a passion for your job
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
