ER Staff Nurse
• Assess, triage, and provide immediate nursing care to patients in the ER based on their condition and severity of injury or illness.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician, including IV fluids, injections, and pain management.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other necessary emergency interventions.
• Conduct rapid assessments to determine the priority of patient care based on the urgency of their condition.
• Collaborate with the ER medical team to prioritize and manage patient flow in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with advanced life-saving procedures such as CPR, intubation, defibrillation, and stabilization for patients in critical condition.
• Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation, arterial line monitoring, and other life-saving treatments.
• Assist in performing diagnostic tests, such as EKGs, X-rays, and lab work, to help diagnose and treat patients quickly.
• Work closely with physicians, ER staff, and specialists to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Participate in patient rounds, providing key insights on patient progress, interventions, and any concerns regarding care.
• Communicate patient information clearly and accurately to all members of the healthcare team.
