Quantum Scholars are currently working with a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school based in Slough who are seeking a English Teacher. This will be a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025.
This position offers an opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative teaching team dedicated to fostering a love for English and helping students achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate must be currently teaching in the UK, have a significant amount of UK teaching experience and be able to teach English Language and Literature to secondary school level(11-16 years old).
The school hiring are an all-girls secondary school. They are rated as a “Good” school by Ofsted. It is located in a very desirable and commutable area. The behaviour of the students is also good!
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities and styles.
Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum and school standards.
Develop engaging lesson materials and activities that inspire creativity and critical thinking.
Monitor and assess student progress through regular marking, reporting, and feedback.
Support students in their personal and academic growth by creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
Contribute to the wider school community, including participation in meetings, parent evenings, and extracurricular activities where required.
