We are a not-for-profit community based kindergarten surrounded by beautiful parkland. Children who attend a Glen Education kindergarten are engaged in a play-based curriculum which evolves from the children’s interests. Both indoor and outdoor activities and experiences are carefully planned to enable each child to work towards their next step in learning. Glen Education are currently seeking a Diploma Qualified Educator to join our amazing team at Glen Centre Road Kindergarten for a part-time position. Our current offerings include kindergarten programs, holiday care, inclusion and education support and the delivery of professional development. For more information about Glen Education, visit gleneducation.org.au About the positions Glen Education are seeking an enthusiastic and confident diploma qualified educator for a 3.5 day position with options of increasing hours should you wish. Arrangement of hours will be as follows: In Program: Monday, Tuesday and Friday 830 to 4 (total 21hours contact) Plus 5.25 additional hours for non-contact planning times on a 4th negotiated day with some setup and pack up required (start at 8:00 am and finish at 4:15 pm) Hours can be supplemented with work on our relief list across our 23 kindergartens if you choose. To be eligible to apply for a position at Glen Education, you need to have the following:
An Early Childhood Education certificate, diploma, degree or equivalent, as approved by the Australian Children’s Education Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
Must hold a valid and current Working with Children Clearance or VIT registration (provisional or full registration)
Must hold a current (not older than 6 months) National Police Check
Must hold a valid and current First Aid (Education and Care Setting), CPR and Child Protection certificates
Demonstrated knowledge of current best practice that is reflective of the approved National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 and Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010
Working knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to deliver high quality education
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and confidence to engage with a diverse range of people
Demonstrated ability to facilitate a positive work culture and be solution focused in thinking and practice
Teachers must have demonstrated capacity to positively and confidently lead teams
